Composite parts manufactured using the infusion technology, also referred to as SCRIMP, VIP, and VARTM, belong to closed technologies, as well. All modifications of these technologies are based on the same principle. A special grid is put onto reinforcements laid in advance into a mould. This unit is packed in airproof foil. Resin is fed into the bag thus prepared, and with the help of vacuum the resin is “pulled through” the required part, thus creating a high quality part, with almost no air bubbles.
